I listen to the Serge Storm series on road trips—I don‘t know how funny this book would be to actually read it, but the audio version is hilarious, and that is what my rating is based on. No Florida bad-guy stereotype goes unpunished as Serge avenges retirees who have been taken advantage of by predatory salespeople; sidekick Coleman remains under the influence of any intoxicant he can get his hands on. A great road trip listen.

I read this after I gave it to my granddaughter to read. IMO, the plotting was great and the characters well developed, and of course the story is very imaginative. So five stars for each of those, but (ducking) three.five for imo somewhat ordinary writing. The granddaughter loved it. I will read more HPs along with her.

Endings are hard—this book imo thudded to one and that was that. Disappointing because some things seemed to have been set up and I expected more. Before that point the book held my interest well.
