One of the most important books I've ever read. Like dystopian fiction...except it's heartbreakingly real. It's unfathomable that millions are subject to such an incredible degree of suffering, but the ingenuity in the face of death is absolutely astounding. I was haunted by this book for days.
Engaging enough but then the author jumped the shark and took the killer's motives to an unbelievable level. There was much eye-rolling toward the end. And that open ending after all Jenna endured was more than a little annoying. Not my favorite psychological thriller.
