Pickpick

Fantastic book. I enjoyed how endearing and funny the main character was and how well the author did with this mostly one-sided story. He chose the right moments to break up the log entry writing style with NASA and the crew. The story was well paced and interesting, and I just genuinely enjoyed Mark Watney as a character!!

Just starting this one! Really enjoyed the film, so that makes me hope the book is even better! 🙃

Mehso-so

I thought this book had a really interesting premise. I picked it up on a whim for the cover art, and found the story to be one that had a lot of potential. Despite enjoying it for the most part, I found it lacking in some areas. I would have really enjoyed learning more about the history of summoners, and I felt some of the character archetypes were ones I've seen previously. I look forward to reading the next installment, not a bad book overall.

First time in a week I've been able to get some time to myself to enjoy a meal and make some progress in Death by Black Hole.
