A great book and written in a way that you enjoy reading it.

This is read by Dion Graham. I love his voice. And science is always interesting to me. This Neil deGrasse Tyson dude is pretty funny. And the narrator's delivery is sort of epic.

Not Tyson's best book, but still very entertaining and informative. Parts were a little too text book like for me, and I found some of the cosmology over my head. He does always find the best narrators for his audiobooks, they seem as passionate about the subject as himself. 3 💥💥💥 1/2 out of 5.

(Disclaimer: listened to the audio) This is my second or third NdT book and I enjoy his writing very much. I also enjoy when he is the narrator of the audiobook, lending his sense of humor and voice inflection to otherwise dry material. This book was not as concise as previously read books, having a few chapters that felt more like filler material rather than important points to be made, but otherwise, very educational and mostly entertaining.
I‘m doing Bookscouter today. Scanning library sale and thrift store books with this app to sell at a profit. Sad when I find a book I‘d like to keep tho. #bookscouter #sidehustle
I 💜 Space. And Tyson seems like the perfect teacher of the subject. Picked this up at Book Con in June and it has been patiently waiting to be read. Hopefully by the end of the year. (Need to throw in more non-fiction to the TBR!)

Good luck Littens!
Both were 5 star reads, well written, informative but not difficult, and the humor was fun too
Some essays were more engaging then others, but over all I really enjoyed these looks at science and space and discovery. Essays that covered history and how the world reacts to scientific discoveries were my favorites.
When you're an astronautical engineer you have to have the books and accessories to go with it. #maybookflowers #inagalaxyfarfaraway #actuallyiamarocketscientist
I feel a bit guilty...I do love me some NGT, and I did enjoy his quips and puns and effusive enthusiam for astrophysics, but I was only able to get about halfway through. He was definitely trying to make the subject matter relatable, but much of it was still over my head. I may be able to give it its due attention at a later point.

"Where ignorance lurks, so, too, do the frontiers of discovery and imagination."
OK, I'll take that when it comes to the innocence of striving toward scientific discovery.
Was hoping this would be a quickie knit, but too much to do this morning!
I forgot I had downloaded this on OverDrive! 6 days left...so let's science! #audioknitting
AND OMG LITSY UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
Today was time to SCIENCE!! 🔭 I wired a synthesizer and went to a presentation on activities for the TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE in August! 🌞🌚🌎 And now I want to read non-ficiton about outer space that's easy for a liberal arts person to understand. I know titles by NdGT, Chris Hadfield, and Mary Roach, but if you have other recs, I wanna know pleeeease! #recommendsday
(I ALSO MADE A SPECTROSCOPE!)
First time in a week I've been able to get some time to myself to enjoy a meal and make some progress in Death by Black Hole.
Because there aren't all that many mad scientists to choose from, I've decided to go rad scientist today. Because how hard does he rock? Also, he looks a little mad as in angry here. #octphotochallenge #madscientist #radscientist
Happy #bookishbirthday to these dapper book dukes: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jesse Eisenberg, & Denis Diderot. Neil runs the Hayden Planetarium, writes astrophysics essays, hosts Startalk, & is a sassy Tweeter. Jesse Eisenberg is best known on screen, recently as Lex Luther, but he's also written wonderful short stories that remind me of BJ Novak. Diderot is a French Enlightenment philosopher & cofounder & chief editor of the Encyclopédie. ??☄✨??
I'm so indecisive with what books I want to read. Gonna try this one again. Sorry, no cats around right now, lol, but check out my tie dyed sheets, lol. 🌌🎆🌃 The book expires in 5 days, hopefully I can renew it 🙀
Stormy, my little reading buddy. Tom and Jerry is on tv now too, but this book is starting off great. You guys know I have the attention span of a 2 year old though. However, I am determined to finish this book! I'm going to Myopic bookstore later today here in Chicago. I can't wait!!!
Just downloaded this one. I love this guy! Seriously I want him to marry my mom. Is he single? Lol
"Space! Space! Spaaaaace!" - Rioter Kristina Pino took this rad photo. ???
I wonder is my lunch also made of stardust? Am I essentially a cannibal? Hmmm....oh & did you know when a space capsule returns to earth it's protected by plasma, this is why we can't communicate with them? Also cool, is the correction we can add to pg 150, due to Kepler there are 1284 planets now.
