As one of three mightily strong yet significantly different sisters, I can say this pretty much sums it up...
My boyfriend loved The Peregrine (which I didn't love); I love H is for Hawk. I think it all lies in me preferring the intensity of goshawks while he prefers the grace of peregrines.
We're moving in the present behind... This book seems light and then you run into such a passage.
My partner is a high functioning aspergers and he lent me this book that delves into the inner thoughts of a boy with autism, written from his own perspective. This particular story just made me realize how we're all the same; we just experience the world differently.
FINALLY getting to read The Queen of the Night after the gals from All The Books and Get Booked made me run out and get it as soon as it came out. Anxy to get into this story.
I haven't wanted to throw a book against the wall since I read "The Museum of Innocence". Thanks "A Little Life", for making that sensation reemerge.
I've been struggling with this book. Beautiful writing and stories about deep love, yet so sorrowful, gut wrenching, and provoking at the same time. Luckily, I've been obliged to bed rest so I've had time to put it down, cry a little, and pick it back up.
