Lady Chatterley's Lover by Lawrence, D. H.
quote
Reia
Karamazov Brothers | Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“'What is hell?' I maintain that it is the suffering of being unable to love.“

quote
Reia
Karamazov Brothers | Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“And in the very depths of that degradation I begin a hymn of praise. Let me be accursed. Let me be vile and base, only let me kiss the hem of the veil in which my God is shrouded. Though I may be following the devil,“

quote
Reia
Karamazov Brothers | Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“Crossing himself [...] he turned resolutely in the direction of his terrible lady.“

quote
Reia
Brothers Karamazov | Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“I expect [...] the repayment of love with love. Otherwise I am incapable of loving anyone.“

quote
Reia
Karamazov Brothers | Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“It's impossible, I think, for the devils to forget to drag me down to hell with their hooks when I die.“

Pickpick

I adored every second of this book. The relationships between characters are so well fleshed out and intricate. The way in which it explored love, longing and anguish is incredible.

“-existence, after loosing her, would be hell.
'Yet I was a fool to fancy for a moment that she valued Edgar Linton's attachment more than mine - If he loved with all the powers of his puny being, he couldn't love as much in eighty years, as I could in a day.“

“-you fight against that devil, for love, as long as you may; when the time comes, not all the angles in heaven shall save him!“

quote
Reia
Wuthering Heights | Emily Brontë

“No mother could have nursed an only child more devotedly than Edgar tended her. Day and night, he was watching, and patiently enduring all the annoyances that irritable nerves and shaken reason could inflict [...] his health and strength were being sacrificed to preserve a mere ruin of humanity, he knew no limits in gratitude and joy, when Catherine's life was declared out of danger,“

“But Heathcliff, if I dare you now, will you venture? If you do, I'll keep you. I'll not lie there by myself; they may bury me twelve feet deep, and throw the church down over me; but I won't rest till you are with me...I never will!“
