Stunning description of the behind-the-scenes efforts by powerful individuals to conceal unsavory activity. Much of the book focuses on the Harvey Weinstein story, with the last quarter moving on to related stories (other NBC executives, Matt Lauer, Trump) covered up by the wealthy and connected. But it all reads as one continuous journey by Ronan Farrow, who was central to getting these stories told. I found it to be a moving, eye-opening read.

A variety of interesting concepts, mostly technological, that the author explores in short story form. Some are just a few pages long while one or two are much more lengthy. A couple of the stories were similar in content and approach to the Netflix show Black Mirror. A thought-provoking book.

Incredible book. I was surprised that a book filled with unfamiliar Russian names and nuclear concepts would be so breathlessly entertaining. A great example of not just Soviet bureaucratic ridiculousness, but also the frightening capacity for localized human error to cause world-affecting problems.
