While teens with superpowers isn't exactly a new concept, I really enjoyed Westerfeld's take on it. Looking forward to picking up the next book in the series.
I almost didn't finish this one. I had trouble feeling anything but complete annoyance at the main character.
Love the cover on this book, and I'm sure the inside will be just as captivating.

I wasn't so sure about this one off the start, but I'm glad I kept with it. The characters and the world itself ended up really pulling me in. I'll definitely pick up the next book in the series.
The movie trailer is what finally pushed me to pick up this book. So glad I did! A great mix of adventure and otherworldlyness (#isthatevenaword). I'm off to pick up book 2, as I have to know more about the peculiar children.
Love Sophie Kinsella for a light summer read, but was not prepared for a cliffhanger! Heads up if this is on your list, you'll want to have the next book in the series lined up!
I couldn't put this book down once I started it! A great read from beginning to end!
Flavia de Luce is the amateur sleuth Nancy Drew wishes she could be. With a slightly disturbing interest in all things poisonous, and little to no adult supervision, Flavia is an irresistible heroine with a touch of mad scientist.
