Paul O. Zelinsky writing in New York Times calls Tokyo Digs a Garden "a thing of beauty"--and he is right!
Like early Philippa Gregory--a book about a passionate woman with a somewhat off moral compass making her own path in 18th century London. Funny, surprising, and perhaps not for the squeamish.
So I expected a light and fluffy read, and I guess it was, but it was also much more than just a beach or airplane read. I've recommended it to many people now.
