Picked this up as a Bookbub deal yesterday. Love it so far! Was enjoying a lazy, rainy day of reading on my front porch. Unfortunately it stopped raining & my hubs has declared we must exercise. Drat!

Pickpick

This book was definitely suspenseful and hard to put down. I would recommend it ... with the warning that it is quite violent. The author makes that very clear with the title and book description. The violence level is appropriate for the story and does not become gratuitous. And who doesn't harbor a bloody revenge fantasy? Very satisfying ending ... without being too tidy.

I've owned this stained and battered paperback since 1980. Miss Marple is the best antidote whenever I feel anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, or just plain lonely. And these short visits with my favorite cozy detective feel like ... a hug from my grandmother. One thing we always agreed on was our love of Agatha Christie.

Anyone else reread old favorites to find comfort &/or fight the inner demons?

I begin to write. Really, there is nothing else I can do.

Amy Snow is the book I wish I could erase from my memory ... so I could read it again for the first time. It's nothing like what I write and everything I 💘.

Decided to go old school for my morning writing session. Found this beauty in a junk shop. There's just something magical about the chug and clatter of an old electric typewriter.
