Visited green gables today 🙂

Listened to the audiobook for this one, and the audio 100% upped the enjoyment, with 1 exception. The voice for Sosie, a deaf girl. Although the writing states the ridiculousness of talking louder to a deaf person, the voice used is just talking louder, almost shouting, which annoyed me every time.

While I loved the social commentary in this book, I never connected with the characters, although likeable, so I liked the book, but didn't love it.

Just read this book for the first time in years. I actually can't remember if I read it as a kid or not, but I do remember the anime and movie.

That being said, I was very familiar with the story, and loved going back to it, and although I may be completely biased due to being a maritimer, I absolutely loved this book, and am currently planning a visit to PEI in a couple weeks to visit Anne's neighbourhood 😄
