The Adoration of Jenna Fox is an excellent use of sci-fi language and knowledge to introduce students to a new genre. Its main character is Jenna, who has been medically altered by someone important to her. While it is futuristic, there is an element of “this could really happen” with how technology has been growing concerning DNA and transplants.
