pickSometimes, after I buy a book that is almost uniformly praised, I start to avoid it. It weighs on me like a dreary obligation. That's how it was for me and Lincoln in the Bardo. I finally tricked myself into reading the first few pages. And then fell in. So different and memorable and haunting. I recommend adding the audiobook to help make sense of the book's structure. Great read!
