Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are cultivated. For these there is hope. (Oscar Wilde)

This is an interesting book that gives lessons that could be used just as well in your personal life - not just professional.
My biggest problem with the book is the amount of repetition throughout, both from one chapter to another and within a chapter. For instance, the first and the second chapter have the same quote that is six lines long.
If the book was shorter and the same concepts weren't repeated this much, it would have been a pick.

Regardless of the context, what a fun mindset to have!

The book is very easy to understand, but it also is extremely interesting.
Some chapters are a little slow, but those are exceptions.
Also, since the book is short and the pacing adequate (my copy had 209 pages).
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read books about anthropology, but has little to no knowledge of the subject (just like me)

An absolute pick, I couldn't recommend this enough.
Oscar Wilde's writing is simply poetic.
The characters (Lord Henry especially) are fascinating.
The story also pulls you in, even if you already know what is going to happen.

I think this quote perfectly describes Dorian's relationship with the picture: he doesn't want to look at it, but he is so drawn to it that he soon becomes obsessed with it.

The book is simple to understand, even though it touches complicated subjects.
Most parts are explained very well, so that everything is clear even for those who don't possess any previous knowledge on the topic.
The last chapters can feel a little repetitive though.
