Woah. Simply woah. I haven't read something so beautiful in such a long time. Tragic. Tender. Meaningful. Contemplation and enthusiasm. Ambition and strong coffee. A must read.

Dreamland | Sarah Dessen

Similarish premise to Lock and Key but I enjoyed this one more. Powerful. It's the kind of book every teen girl should read because it highlights some complex issues that are a jarring reality for many people. Reading Caitlin felt very real in that she didn't always make sense, or was logical, or did what she should've done but that makes her all the more relatable. Kudos to Dessen again.

I've been on a Sarah Dessen kick the past few weeks. She's one of my favorite YA authors. She's certainly more PG with the romance which I prefer to be more heavy-handed, but it's still a joy to read. I felt the story dragged at times as well as became redundant but I thoroughly enjoyed the main plot and the characters. Certainly not my favorite Dessen book but I'm glad to add it my Dessen shelf.

This one was a reread for me and I am still head over heels for this book. The perfect book for an introvert on the edge of adulthood and everything that entails. Any scene with Levi makes me smile uncontrollably. He's in the top five of my "fictional characters that make me blush irl" list. This novel shows beautifully flawed characters and I see myself rereading this again and again.

It's the kind of book you want to last forever. The kind your so excited to read and can't put down but get so sad when there's only 100 pages left, then 50, 25, then none. Lara Jean is by far my favorite YA protagonist and I'm sad her story had to end. Jenny Han has such a niche for character building and dialogue that you will fall in love again and again with every chapter. My stomach had butterflies the entire time.
