This is an incredible read. It shows the individual struggles of five family members and how each of them deal with the death of the oldest daughter Lydia. On top of that they tell their occurrences with racism where they lived and how it affected who they are. I fully recommend this book to anyone who likes to read.

The Hate U Give is an amazing book. It is moving and influential in the world we live in today. It helps us understand a community some of us may not be familiar with. Definitely recommend!

This book had me curious from beginning to end with a few surprises throughout. There were a couple long winded parts I didn't really care for though so I wouldn't say I would read it again.
