It struggled with this one to start with and thought it was really odd and bizarre but the more I read the more I loved the little short stories. Some made me proper laugh out loud, others made me cry and the odd when I just thought was odd. Overall though a really good read. I think my most memorable and the one that stayed with me was the cherry picker and the funniest was the world swallowing women up.

I loved this book. Couldn't put it down. It was funny, insightful, made me cry and laugh. Loved it.

I really enjoyed this book, very insightful into the era, and great to see a complete woman's perspective.
