Such a nice surprise to come home to these goodies! I can‘t wait to read my first Mary Kubica novel and I love the stickers and postcards and also the unique leather pin. It was so nice of you to send this fun package my way!! Thank you! #litsylove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TieDyeDude @Read4life
1- I have two. The first is going to the book fair each year at my elementary school library. My Mom would give me a $10 bill which would buy about 7 or 8 books! The second is going to the public library with my Dad to look up family history stuff.
2 - Book store
3 - Uncharted Flight of Olivia West
@Eggs Thanks for the tag! #wondrouswednesday
A small town community is brought together in part by an elderly woman‘s baking classes. I laughed. I cried. Elizabeth Berg is quickly becoming a favorite. #litsylovereads 🍪
Another action-packed, fast-paced political thriller by Baldacci. Loved this one!
A woman travels back in time to the day of her 16th birthday and changes a few things in an attempt to make her (and her father‘s) life turn out differently. A slow start, but clever and moving, and well worth the read. Bonus: In some ways, the story is reminiscent of the movie Groundhog Day, so now is the perfect time to read it! #litsylovereads
Just sent out some Happy Mail! 😍🎄 #litsylove #cardswap #holidaycardswap 💌💌💌 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @LibrarianRyan
A book about the life of a cemetery keeper in France. I was touched by the way she tended the graves and by the way she often performed tasks that were not in her job description. All the while, she was dealing with her own grief and hardships. It‘s a sad and mysterious story, but also wonderfully moving and hopeful. I loved it! 💐
Another good one by this author! Thanks for this fun, addictive thriller! @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks 😊📚🔪
What a nice surprise! I love ALL the goodies and I‘m looking forward to another McFadden book! The #LitsyLove earrings are really cute - I feel so spoiled right now! Thank you for thinking of me Misty 😍 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
1 - Don‘t be so hard on yourself.
2 - Car
3 - My Dad. He‘s passed away now, but after years of good advice, I feel I know what he would say if he were here.

I won‘t forget this one anytime soon. Beautiful writing, heartbreaking story. Loved it. #LitsyLoveReads
History, romance, forgiveness, magic. A touching historical fiction novel with lovable, distinctive characters and a beautiful setting that is very much a part of the story. I didn‘t want this one to end. Bonus: I enjoyed learning about red honey. I‘d never heard of it until now! 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 #litsylovereads #bookspin
Leah Stevens and her friend Emmy leave Boston to start fresh in Pennsylvania. Trouble soon follows when Emmy disappears and Leah can‘t seem to provide evidence that Emmy ever existed at all. Soon Leah starts to wonder how well she really knew her friend. I always enjoy a character-driven thriller and this one fit the bill!
When he first met her, she was never without a book … I‘m enjoying this story so far! 🍬🍭🍬🍭🍬
Intriguing and suspenseful with lovable characters and a small town setting, this story had family secrets, some romance and a bit of magic. I really enjoyed it. Not sure how it took me so long to notice this author, but I‘ve already bought another of her books and can‘t wait to dig in. #litsylove
A fast-paced, twisty novel that I read in two days. Great psychological thriller that reads sort of like a diary. This book captured my attention and held it throughout the story. Recommended if you like domestic thrillers.
This is my fifth book by Simone St. James and my favorite so far. She blends just the right amounts of romantic suspense, historical fiction and paranormal. Her atmospheric writing makes me feel like I‘m in the forest with the MC. She always has beautiful book covers, too! For me, this was the perfect October read. 🍃🎃🍁10/22 #litsylovereads
I have several, but I‘ll go with 11/22/63. I think the length of the book is why I‘ve avoided it (849 pages). I have no doubt it will be an excellent read! Thank you for the tag @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks #littenswanttoknow
🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪 The story of a college kid who joins a struggling circus in the 1930s. This was an excellent book! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 A young Hawaiian girl is taken from her family and sent to Kalaupapa, the quarantined leprosy settlement on the island of Moloka‘i. This is a wonderful story, one I won‘t soon forget. Finding the original sales receipt tucked inside the book was an added bonus. Purchased at S.F. International Airport on March 10, 2006. #historicalfiction 5/22

It‘s always fun to come across a #littlefreelibrary in my town! I traded in for the tagged book and couldn‘t leave without straightening the books (which of course made my mom giggle). 😄

A story detailing marital abuse and the lengths someone will go to for control. The ending caught me off guard, but the craziest part (to me) involved the sister. I won‘t say more than that. If you like domestic thrillers, you‘ll probably enjoy this book.
This story was full of adventure and felt very much like reading an Indiana Jones movie. It‘s a long book at 699 pages, but I read it quickly because I found it entertaining. Also, this novel is the first in a series, but I think I read that only one character continues on to the next book.
After two days of thunderstorms and severe weather alerts, it‘s a beautiful day to read outside. ☀️
Just started this and I‘m already intrigued! #stephenking #constantreader
A group of small town women meet weekly to eat good food, confess their sins, and support each other. This was a good, heartwarming story. The dialogue felt real, such as how the ladies often interrupted each other during their confessions. The only downside was that I found one of the main story lines to be a little unbelievable. Even so, I enjoyed this book and would definitely read more by this author.
The glacial landscape reminded her … Sometimes you want to go back and re-read a paragraph just to let it fully sink in. I love it when that happens.
Rita Hayworth & Shawshank Redemption was my favorite, but all four stories intrigued me. Overall, I prefer his full-length novels for various reasons, but this collection of novellas is still very much a pick. Recommended! My #bookspin for August. 📚
I sometimes hesitate to read a book with all sorts of rave reviews. I think it makes me expect too much. But this story kept me on the edge of my seat for three days. It would‘ve been one day, but life got in the way (you know, eating and sleeping). As for the ending, you may guess part of it, but you won‘t guess all. A good story that reminded me a little of Hatter Fox. A few similarities there.
It‘s hard to read bc I used blue ink instead of black, but here is my #bookspin list for August. Can‘t wait to get started this month! @TheAromaofBooks
A family takes one last vacation before the oldest child heads off to college. Problem is, oldest child disappears on said vacation. This suspenseful read focuses on how each family member copes with grief and while the overall tone of the book was depressing, in the end I was moved by this story. If you like a more character-driven thriller, this book is for you!
I needed a break from thrillers and my son offered his beat-up copy of a book he had to read in high school. So far, I am enjoying this new-to-me author and loving this bittersweet story. 🧡
My very small #stephenking collection. Just finished Four Past Midnight and really enjoyed it, but #thestand will always be my favorite!
Happy September! Hope everyone is having a nice day. I‘m still enjoying the Four Past Midnight collection. I wanted to read in my backyard, but it‘s still way too hot! ☀️📚☀️
I was going through some old books, deciding which ones I wanted to trade in for credit. Knowing this one was a keeper, I put it back on my shelf, but something fell out. It was an old postcard my mom had sent me while on a business trip to Iowa. I guess I tucked it away and forgot about it. So glad I didn‘t trade it!
I don‘t know if I‘m completely sold on the existence of ghosts, but who really knows? I do enjoy reading about them - that‘s for sure! I was very intrigued by Leslie Rule‘s well-researched stories and I never had the sense that anything was being exaggerated. The photos were an added bonus.
