An incredibly uncomfortable and beautiful novel to read. It's so cleverly written and, by using him as a (unreliable) narrator, you begin to feel something that resembles sympathy for dear old twisted Humbert Humbert until you are suddenly punched in the face with the reminder of what a disgusting man he truly is.
