This book is one of the few accessible reads on the topic. Repeatedly comes up in later research. Also, one of the first ebooks I read through completely on my phone.

The topic is morbid, but the book does not disappoint. While burial during this time was not the norm, the title covers the topic extensively and tracks developmental changes over time. Worth it if you can stomach the subject matter.
