Pickpick

As Nikolai and Vika face each other to the death in the Crown‘s Game, the loss of one character would affect the other, regardless of the fact that they‘re strangers. The stakes continue to rise as their desire to defeat each other weakens, on account of fascination between Vika toward Nikolai, and Nikolai‘s best friend‘s interest in both Vika and the secrets of her magic, oblivious to Nikolai‘s abilities and the Crown‘s Game itself, which his own

This story is told in third person omniscient point of view, as they use words like “he/she/they”, and access the consciousness of multiple characters, though the narration is still told outside of any one character. 2y

Vika Andreyeva and Nikolai Karimov are both enchanters working towards the goal of defending Russia alongside the tsar, but the job description only calls for a single enchanter. A crown‘s game therefore must commence, where Vika and Nikolai will fight for the spot, and only one will walk out alive. You will like this book if you enjoyed The Hobbit series and it‘s magical aspect.

kamryn.warkentin The theme in this novel is how mental and physical power differentiate. This is shown through Nikolai being a strategic enchanter, while Vika uses her magic and the elements to create large and explosive outcomes. 2y
