April 18, 2024 I am on page 180. At this point in the book, Maya is upset with Aubrey bc Frank was trying to make a move on her. Frank even gave her a book that he thought she might like. Aubrey tells Maya that she did not want to get into a relationship with Frank. Frank made the move on her instead. Frank was seen with Aubrey drinking blended coffees together; which gave her a message, probably the wrong message

April 16, 2024 Hmmm... Now the story is picking up constant pace. Heads up: The story goes back and forth so one who reads the book will have to keep track of story line themselves. Some chapters talk about Maya and her mom Brenda (the relationship they have) and Maya and Aubrey (a good friend of Maya). Maya is trying to figure out what happened to Cristina. She thinks that Frank, the librarian, killed Cristina. She is trying to search for clues.

April 15, 2024 I began this book in hopes of being able to start another thriller while reading Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood. Love, Theoretically is kind of slow-burning, and doesnt get to the climax that fast. I feel like thrillers start out fast and get even faster!

April 5th, 2024 I sort of enjoyed the book. It was not a captivating book nor was it filled with any surprises. The book did not scream out READ ME. However, it sounded like any other romance book that another author would write. I give it 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

April 4, 2024 Oh gosh... what did I get myself into?? Reading a romance novel knowing that I would read so many erotic words??? I mean, Ik that these are fake characters, but the imagery in it is too intense. For example, from page 327-337, like that is enough sexual language for me to read. Words create sentences and sentences create stories or paragraphs. The sentences created a graphic picture (maybe a little too graphic for my taste)

April 4, 2024 On page 270 and Kelsey had a bad date. Derek was not the right person for her and she was yearning for a man who LOVES her. She doesnt think that JP is the right person because they agreed on a short term companionship but he likes Kelsey. He can't stop thinking about her while she is on other dates. Go figure. Now she is thinking she may be fired bc of what happened between her and JP in her bedroom

April 3, 2024 Only 3 days into April and I am on page 242. Um I was not expecting that to happen one bit, but I guess I got sucked into the words that were written by Meghan Quinn. March 30, 2024 At the gym and was able to catch ip on the book! MAN OH MAN... JP and Kelsey are both sent to San Francisco for a work obligation but JP is holding a grudge against her for not being nice and appreciating the fact that he was being nice to her since both of their dates to this work event ditched them. Now, Kelsey is apologizing to him about what had happened and he is slowly opening up to her again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

March 27, 2024 Romance. Romantic. A story about a girl named Kelsey and a guy named JP Cane who work together but Kelsey feels that she and him cannot be friends. Because friends can turn into smth more... YOU GET ME? The sad part is that Kelsey feels jealous that her sister found a solemate who his JP Cane's brother! What a close call!! Will Kelsey be able to find her person OR just settle for being single?

March 25, 2024 Went to Target and bit the bullet by getting the third book by Ali Hazelwood: Love, Theoretically. In addition to that book, I also got The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes AND So Not Meant to Be by Megan Quinn. Can't wait to read all three!!!

March 25, 2024 Close to done with the book. I would recommend it. But first read the first one. Then this one. I think out of the two, her third book is the best. Each page keeps getting better and better... enough said HAHA

March 23, 2024 Oooooooooo Levi is in trouble!!! Margot thinks that Levi was in the house on Halloween. Instead of going inside the claustrophobic cave, he went straight into the house. Nicole, Trevor's gf, was sitting on the couch. Nicole was already afraid of Levi... Levi knew that a single slip of the tongue about him coming into our house uninvited, was not wanted, so maybe he had run to her, stopping her, while her nails scratched his chest.

March 23, 2024 Im back folks!!! Now I have reached page 166... and man oh man.. is the story nearing the climax of the book. Lucy says, "You're going to have to learn to ignore him." Margot replies, "It's not that easy." Lucy states, "Why not?" Margot responds, "I don't know." Being around him just makes me feel guilty." "Because of Eliza?" she asks, and for a second, I forget to breathe, hearing Eliza's name on her lips for the very first time...

March 22, 2024 I have reached page 122 and it seems like Lucy is obsessed over the idea of killing someone: Nicole, Sloane, maybe Margot. As a matter of fact, Margot keeps repeating the fact that Eliza and Lucy have so much in common. Margot talks with Sloane and asks her what she thinks about Lucy. Sloane concludes that Margot is "wasting her breath" trying to figure out who Lucy really is.

March 20, 2024 Not halfway through the book and it is already starting to reach a suspenseful part. Margot loses Eliza, who she was close friends with due to being around Levi Butler, who she met at a Fraternity house. She, Eliza, and him would hang out but now she is trying to figure out why Levi did what he did...

March 4, 2024 Behold! The third book by Stacy Willingham. Other books by her are: A Flicker in the Dark and All The Dangerous Things. I went to Books Inc today and saw her second book in paperback but I decided not to get it. It was a tough decision and ALL hardcover books tend to be $30.00 easy. So I told myself to just buy this one... WHICH I AM NOT MAD ABOUT. Will let you know my thoughts on this thriller

The paragraph that starts with, "These characters, these projects...." is probably the essence of the book and how Kerry Washington was able to share her personal story. There were signals that alerted her that she was meant to play thr characters she did and therefore meant to be on this Earth. She had a purpose!

If you like to read memoirs about celebrities, such as Kerry Washington, you'll want to read it. I have had no regrets in picking it up as it is from her perspective on how she views life, the obstacles that she faced with her food, exercising, and body, and how she started to not care what others thought

February 14, 2024 Happy Valentine's Day! I am on page 104 out of 305 and I am feeling the emotions that Kerry Washington is going through. Her emotions jump out at me as I am reading them. For example, "What am I doing wrong?" Why haven't I booked any acting jobs? ... So why hadn't I been able to be more perfect? Why didn't people want me in their projects and on their screen? Was I not pretty enough, sexy enough, thin enough?

February 8, 2024 First time reading an autobiography about Kerry Washington. I am trying to read less fiction and more nonfiction. You know, mix & match!! I am excited to read this book bc I have seen her on TV shows and I heard about her BUT never READ about her --- now I can. My next TBR is going to be House of Hidden Meanings by Ru Paul (however the book will not actually be in stores until March).

February 8, 2024 I would give the book 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The book was very fast paced and kept me on my toes, trying to guess at who killed Jake. Was it Lily and Christian? Was it Nina? Probably not if she was the one trying to figure out if her husband was coming home. Or could it be Nina's mom??? From page 292 until the end, Mary Kubica writes a twisting ending. I never saw it coming... Read the book to find out who actually killed Jake 🧐

February 7, 2024 Am I sure glad that I picked up this book! I can't say enough good things about it. Mary Kubica keeps one guessing about what will happen next. I am on page 165 and I am so honed into the text. Is Jake really dead? Is Jake missing? Is Jake getting revenge on Christian? Do Lily Christian really know who Jake is? So many questions to ponder while reading thriller books I must say...

February 7, 2024 Read more of the book OF COURSE So hard to put down when it is a thriller... It really does pull you back in even when you just put it down for a day of two! It does not stop getting suspenseful. On page 130 and A LOT has happened ( Christian goes to Nina's house to get a key so he could move Jake's car from the murder scene; at the same time Nina's mom thinks that Nina is home ) yikes Did Christian get caught by Nina's mom????

ME me and me ✋🏻 I am not even halfway through the book and Mary Kubica is giving me 🥶 Reading the words is giving me suspense... esp where Christian and Lily walk through the forest that Nina had walked in and saw Jake. Jake tried to take her to a part of the trail (which was off the beaten path) and then when Jake kissed Lily, Lily INSTANTLY defends herself by throwing a rock at Jake. What now?

Ik that I had said A Flicker in the Dark would be my next TBR but i began reading it and I said, "Wait, this sounds familiar." Lo and behold, I bought a hardcover version of it before. January 29, 2024 Almost there! Have like ~20 pages left of the book. There was DEFINIETLY A RIVAL TO LOVER transition that occured in the book. Nolan lied to her. She thought she was getting help from Defne, from Zugswang but instead he had been the one to pay it for her, basically lying to her face. As of that situation, she didnt like Nolan and felt like putting all her energy into helping her family. She cares MORE about family and friends ♥️

January 25, 2024 I have reached page 104, which I would say is the climax. Mallory Greenleaf, 18 years old, has beat Oz, Kenul Jackson, another person, and now she will be playing against the almighty Nolan Sawyer. Is she scared and sweating? Scared? No. Sweating? Maybe. But she is going to be "faking her way" through the whole game. She doesn't care about Nolan Sawyer.

January 21, 2024 Enticingly romantic! Ali Hazelwood is a genius in romance. This is definitely a rivals-to-lovers book. Mallory Grenleaf and Nolan Sawyer, aka Kingkiller, end up playing chess against each other and Mallory beats him; even though he is known to be a master at chess. She doesn't realize that she is playing against THE Nolan Sawyer until she looks up and gets a good look at him face to face with all his masculinity

January 7, 2024 On Part II of Forever, Interrupted. If you have been looking for a book written by Taylor Jenkins Reid that is romance but also very sad, this is one those books. Part I was super sad but ended in a happy ending... basically Elise Porter becomes a widow and Ben passes away. She feels like she has completely lost her husband but still has connections with his mom. Elise shares her vulnerability with Ben whom she loved dearly.

January 4, 2024 Happy Fourth day of January. I still can't believe that we made it to 2024 and that it has been four days already. Anyway, Reid wrote this book in 2013 and I am now reading it. I would say that this is her first book AND I am late to reading her first book. Why? IDK So far I am about 35 pages in and Elsie Ross and her friend Ana have been friends. She orders pizza while her friend Ana goes out with Jim. Elsie meets Ben 👀

December 29, 2023 Wowzers!!! Two more days until the end of 2023 (so long 2023) and hello 2024. I am about halfway through the book and have read it page to page without hesitation. John Stamos is very funny but also very vulnerable. He shares a lot of public moments that he had as he reached stardom long with other famius celebrities that he was able to work with in his career 🥹

December 27, 2023 Began reading John Stamos' memoir. Thoroughly enjoying it while eating a slice of pumpkin pie and drinking iced coffee hearing the rain pour down outside... One of my hobbies is reading OBVIOUSLY. Add the rain and you got me sucked in (literally not figuratively) Ok Im going to keep reading now and update when I am more than halfway done :)

December 21, 2023 AT LAST! I finished the book. I thought it was a good read. Okay... maybe better than some of his other books because he basically incorporates the meaning of life and what it means to be part of life; to live among others and how that feels. What is the meaning of life? A quote at the end captured my attention: "And most of all, I am here to be. To be not just on this planet, but with it" (pg 295)

December 17, 2023 This specific excerpt from the chapter "Auld Lang Syne" written by John Green, but originally thought of by Amy Krouse Rosenthal touched my heart very deeply. It is not only emotional to read, but it is also true. Quote: We live in hope --- that life will get better, and more importantly that it will go on, that love will survive even thought we will not (pg 152)

I am approximately halfway through this book and I like it. I like how John Green writes about various topics and gives ratings (nice little touch). Anyway I finished this book last week and I thought it was a good book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Temple Grandin or just wants to read the difference between a visual thinker & object thinker 😊

October 12, 2023 About to start Chapter Nine of this book. I feel like when I read books written by people of color, it is more relatable. People of color have different stories to tell ( personal, historical, or biographical ) and I am HERE FOR IT! Being able to find a book that I can personally relate to ( sort of ) is very freeing. I think to myself, "Wow, this is something that I will remember and always cherish."
