November 14, 2019 I have wanted to read this book for so long. I finally got the book (while walking to the bookstore in the drizzling rain) and I even got a book by Gabourey Sidibe aka Gabby who talks about her personal life and how people should not be ashamed of who they are! Anyone who reads the book can relate to it and feel better about themselves... That's it for now

October 18, 2019 Hey everyone! Dont stress! I have been gone for a little bit because days have gotten busy and ya know life gets bussyyyy... Anyway I have been reading the book BUT took a break. I hope to continue reading. Sad thing is that the movie for the Goldfinch got low ratings. I personally want to see the movie but I NEED TO READ THE BOOK FIRST. No spoilers please. Thank you and enjoy your weekend

September 22, 2019 OMG Props to Donna Tartt. I had no idea of what magic Donna Tartt could do with just words. With words, storytelling and luring somebody into the book. It is too hard to stop reading. The details are so vivid and it is as if you are there looking at what is happening. The story is popping out at you and you cannot figure out where to keep your eyes

Same as never judge somebody who you dont know until you meet them. Also i appreciate the people who have the same reading interest as me and those who are new followers. The flmore followers the better ya know? Jk idc about the # of followers ?

September 20,2019 Hello Litsy community!!!! Followers!!! I am back and better. I am sharing another book with you (that you all mostly read already but I just picked up). I decided to bury my head and buy the book in paperback for $20.00 + tax. In total the book was $21.95. I am aware that the book turned into a movie but i doubt i will finish it before that.

Have not gotten that far but when i am half way through I will make sure to update. The book seems to start out slow so I am not quite sure what to think about it

August 22, 2019 Since I am almost done with the book "The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane" by Lisa See, I might begin the self care book "You Are a Bad Ass at Making Money" by Jen Sincero. I read the first book that she wrote but this one seemed pretty relatable and I wantes to learn how to make money the smart way... not just to make money. Next may be the book Last Seen by J.L. Doucette which I started but never continued ???

August 5, 2019 Hey everybody! Hope you are having a fine chill Monday ( unless you are working ). I am so happy because I am more than halfway through the book. It has been a "interesting" time reading so far. But whenever I choose a book, especially lately, it hasnt been too positive. I NEVER expect to come across erotic moments but that has been the case.

lilpumpkin2.0 @Marilyncjackson What books have you read 4mo
Marilyncjackson I have not read any books by the author you have tagged. As far as books ever I have read a ton, last month I read The Cat Who Could Read Backwards and that was it. None of the other books I started kept me interested. This month I am trying to read Dark Alchemy. 4mo
lilpumpkin2.0 @Marilyncjackson are you a fiction, nonfiction, romantic, or all types of reader? 4mo
See All 14 Comments
Marilyncjackson @lilpumpkin2.0 all types but I prefer fiction. I like mystery, romance, fantasy, and gothic the most. I do not like sci-fi very much. 4mo
lilpumpkin2.0 @Marilyncjackson Can you recommend a few fiction that are mystery and fantasy? 4mo
Marilyncjackson @lilpumpkin2.0 so sorry I did not answer this earlier I think I missed it my busy week. If you want mystery and fantasy it is usually an urban fantasy. That means it will more than likely be contemporary setting with magic and paranormal. Do you want there to be erotic moments or to stay away from that for the most part? 4mo
lilpumpkin2.0 @Marilyncjackson it can have some erotic moments but i am a person who doesnt exactly care for it. I mean if it has that as part of the book fine. 4mo
Marilyncjackson @lilpumpkin2.0 Ok here are a couple of urban fantasy‘s I suggest they are series: number one in my list is Jim Butcher‘s Dresden Files. It is fun, it is dark, and it reminds me of classic Noir with magic. Second would be Seanan Macguire books. I like the October Day series better than InCryptid, but I have been told I don‘t know what I am talking about. 4mo
Marilyncjackson @lilpumpkin2.0 continuing on: there is Alex Bledsoe‘s Tufa books they start with the Hum and the Shiver I think they are beautiful and love them. They don‘t follow the same people but they follow the same area (I can‘t tell you more or I will give away a lot). And then Debora Blake‘s Babba Yagga Serise that starts with Wickedly Dangerous. 4mo
Marilyncjackson They are adult books so sex does pop up but it is not erotica and doesn‘t last long. The main plot in these is a mystery except the Hum and the Shiver that is more a mystery about the place and if the MC will adjust back to living there. Full disclosure I am friends with some of these authors on various platforms and talk to them, but I found them through their books. (I found the books through my librarian). 4mo
Marilyncjackson Let me know if you want more recommendations. And if you like or dislike any of the books I mentioned 4mo
lilpumpkin2.0 @marilyncjackson wow. Incredible. Thanks so much for the recommendations. ill look into them when i have more time and in need of another book to read... Still reading books. Never getting bored of them. (edited) 4mo
lilpumpkin2.0 @marilyncjackson please tell me which order i should read the books in. Like rate them each and write a numbered list. Also please tag other ppl that you follow on Litsy 4mo
Marilyncjackson Ok well I read them in order from first in series. But I will get you a list as soon as I can. 4mo

July 4th, 2019 Hello everybody!!!! Happy Fourth of July. I have officially finished the book and i honestly had mixed feelings about it. The author was slow in the beginning and then conpletely sped up the pace at the middle of the book. She involved a lot of sensual writing as well as history. I would say that the book was a mix of fiction, nonfiction, and biographical moments. She definitely incorporated many ideas whether fake or imaginary

Im on Chapter 5 of this book as of December 27, 2018. She is amazing in how she writes this book.

ElizaMarie @Marilyncjackson : I read a lot of true crime, starting to get more into mysteries.
