Just finished. I really enjoyed this book. I definitely recommend. I can't wait for the next one!
This is such a sweet book. Everything about it is wonderful - the morals, the story, the characters. And it was so much fun to read aloud!
This book has been so enlightening. I'm still trying to process it all.
I love his explanation of why the food features so prominently in his books. Growing up during WW2 and food rationing, and also being disappointed that books always seemed to skip the description of food when they described feasts.
Ooh this is going to be a good one I can tell. Still in the beginning but I love how the author has put the book together. Not your usual prose, rather transcripts of interviews, journal logs, reports. It's a fun read!
"Ask as many questions as you like. I don't have to answer them unless I want to," retorted Creaker.
Sam was more like something new made from very old things.
Dad says books can help you. Not every book is true, he says, but the more you read, the easier it is to figure out for yourself what is true.
My first blurb. I just started this book this week and it's fabulous. It is inspiring - it makes me want to just start digging holes and planting everything. And the photos - hard to believe photos of produce can be so breathtaking.
