An underrated, overlooked masterpiece. I read the book and watched the movie more times than I can count - and they never lose their magic or wit.

The stories fail to come together with the right depth and cohesion, but Cloud Atlas amazed me nonetheless. Mitchell has terrific command of his style and the individual stories are engaging and unique with diverse characters and situations.
