I'm reading this for the first time since high school and I've got to say that Lord Henry is one of the most annoying characters I've come across in recent memory. I don't recall disliking him so much in high school. I guess I've changed since then-- hopefully for the better.
pickVery accessible, moving, and rich with information. I worry that the writer may have inserted herself too much into the narrative at times, but other than that it was excellent. Perfect for anyone interested in recent history/current events or anyone doing research for writing a dystopian story.
Last volume of Smoke and Shadow came in too, so I'll be binge reading the whole series this weekend.
It's 2016 and I'm still excited about new Tsubasa manga. This series was huge for me in high school. So much nostalgia...
pickI usually don't really go for historical fiction, but I've loved everything I've read by Belleau so far and this was no exception. I do wish that that Felix's gender had been explored more, but other than that it was very engaging.
pickThere wasn't anything in this book that was especially new to me, since I try to follow queer news and politics as much as possible. Even still, it was a good read and very rousing. Definitely very applicable to current events and happenings.
pickI've had this book on my shelf for a while, but I am very glad I waited so long to read it. If I read it half a year ago when I bought it, that cliffhanger might have killed me! Definitely looking forward to the final installment in the series, which-- lucky for me-- comes out next month.
