Claudia Gray is my favorite Star Wars author, and both her Leia books are so good! I can‘t decide which I like better - Bloodline, which is post-Empire, or Leia: Princess of Alderaan, which is pre-rebellion. Definitely worth reading them both!

My heart is so full after finishing this amazing story! Maddy‘s and Queenie‘s friendship is one for the ages. I want to rush out and learn a new language - I want to jump into a little propeller plane and fly away into the sunset! Mostly, I want to spend more time with Queenie and Maddy.
I just finished the audiobook and it‘s so good! Emily Woo Zeller is a fantastic narrator! I highly recommend this book, but do take this content warning to heart, directly from the author herself: https://rfkuang.com/2018/05/13/on-the-necessity-of-brutality-why-i-went-there/
I‘m listening to the audiobook, with 20 minutes to go. What a journey this character has been on! I feel like I‘m looking back on a massive saga and it‘s only the end of the first book.
Last Friday, a 4th grader brought this book with him to my office. He explained that he had finished reading it earlier in the day and was sad it was over. I think he was just carrying it with him wherever because he wasn‘t ready to let it go!
😌😊😌
This week he‘s mentioned it to me at least once a day. It‘s quite possible that‘s the highest praise I‘ve ever heard a book receive.
I‘m reading this for Battle of the Books with 5th graders at my school. Today while reading during lunch I both pumped a fist for victory and hugged the book to my chest for feels! It‘s so so soooo good, and I can‘t get over how gorgeous this book is!
