I never knew that jackie kennedy‘s wedding dress was pink
Ann said that if she had to enter through the back door, the bride and bridesmaids wouldn‘t be wearing her dresses for the wedding.
She entered through the front door.
I think that this story is a really important one because not many people know it, i didn‘t know it until i read this book. Ann didn‘t get any credit for the dresses that she made.
And then, as she had done so many times before, Wangari planted a tree.
I love how colorful all the images in this book are. This is my favorite book out of all of them because it was really touching at that point in the story

She ends up going to the United States to study but never forgets where she came from. She eventually returns to Kenya to help her country when she feels it needs help.

Macmillan Publishing Company 1994
