A mother wants her child always to have a good life, This book tells the story of not only one character but the lives of the main character's daughter, then which turns into the main character and then continues the pattern down. So far we have been following the character Ally Keller in Berlin in 1931, she has been facing lots of repercussions due to the fact she fell in love with a black musician and at that time it caused lots of-

rosa.kim controversy because there was lots of racism back then. We also see how hard it was on Ally's daughter Lilith being a mixed baby. If you like books that show the more human side of wars (as this book is placed back when there were many wars) I would recommend this book, mainly because you get to see so many different characters' points of view throughout the book. the point of view of this story is in the third person, for each character. i think- 2y
rosa.kim it was a good point of view to use in this story because we switch characters too often to have it be in any other point of view. The author uses the characters' names to make it clear that we aren't characters but just a reader that can cross into their world. 2y
MissYaremcio Oh this looks awesome! Thanks Rosa! 6/6 2y

I love this book! I re-read this book over the break and I think It was such a quick but meaningful book that everyone needs to read once in their life time.
For me, I really enjoyed this book because I really like the perspective of the two characters and also the layout of the words. It was easy for my eyes to read and also the storyline was very cute and wholesome and we get to learn about the life of someone who has Tourettes.

rosa.kim This story follows the life of Calli, she lives with a medical condition called Tourettes. All her life she moves around state to state because of her mother. One day Call and her mother pack up and move to the state Utah, Just on the first day she moved to Utah we get introduced to her neighbour, Jinsong.
Calli got made fun of her Tourettes a bunch and due to that she doesn't have much friends, But after a few walks home together Jinsong and-

At first Jinsong was embarrassed to be known as Calli's friend up one day they have a break through and they become very confident with their friendship.

rosa.kim They open up to each other and Calli understands that Jinsong also got made fun of because of his race. They now share a special moment together and understand each other more. But just as things were looking better for the both of them Calli's mother decides to move again and leaves Utah. Read to find out what happens to them and if the move will effect there strong friendship. (edited) 2y
rosa.kim Another reason they I really like this book is, When the perspective of the character changes in the writing, they never say who is who and it really gets your brain thinking about who is talking because of the content clues. I really enjoy books like these.
If you like cute and wholesome but educational books, I really recommend this book!
