It's always fun when a book you've been dying to read references the city you live in and your baseball team within the first few pages! This is the second book I've read this year where, unbeknownst to me prior to reading, the main character lives in Maryland. 🦀🐢❤️

I enjoyed this one despite it being a bit problematic. It reminded me a lot of TFiOS, but I liked the plot of ATBP better. The protagonists felt more realistic by YA standards while still being absurdly unrealistic IRL. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it worked for me. Heck, it even inspired me to doodle on post-it notes!
