A sweet, easy read about love lost and love found. Sarah unravels a hidden love that her grandmother had never spoken of. Sarah realizes how much respect she has for her grandmother after learning about her past. And she also learns more about her life in the process.

This book was different than others I have read in that it was told from the perspective of a boy from Italy, who became a hero. It tells about his journey and experiences as he meets some of the high ranking officers and leaders in the Nazi party. It also tells how he saves many lives and highlights his heroism and sadness during the war. It's a book of heartache, bravery, and love.
