I didn‘t love this second installment as much as Breakfast with Buddha, but the themes explored are valuable and heart-wrenching. The first few chapters had me at turns devastated and smiling as Otto shares some terrible news and starts a road trip basically from my backyard (Snohomish, WA). I really enjoy Merullo‘s funny and sweet storytelling. One can‘t help but root for Otto. Maybe because at times it feels we are reading about ourselves. 4 ⭐️
