Gary Paulsen is known for his survival stories, but he‘s led a fascinating life and he‘s got a great sense of humor too. His childhood was bleak and readers get glimpses of how his dogs have made his life bearable in some hard times. His stories were alternately moving and laugh-out-loud funny.
