The famous play-write and humanitarian tells the story of her cancer diagnosis, her own childhood abuse and the atrocities faced by women in the Congo. Both highly readable and poetic, Ensler weaves a story of personal experience with global perspective. Though much is painful and heartbreaking, it left me with hope too. This is the most profound memoir I‘ve ever read.

Wow! I am a fan of memoirs, biographies and autobiographies. I have never read anything so brutally honest. Women should read this book.
