I mostly read to escape, but love a serious book every once in a while. I never judge a book by its cover...

I‘m giving this book a pick because I do like the story and it does have great characters. That being said I feel that this author could have finished this story in three books and not seven. It‘s starting to feel a little drawn out. I probably won‘t continue reading the next ones. I just don‘t have the patience.

Love the story line the main woman character is less annoying than the first book.

I loved the story line and enjoyed the characters except for the main one. I understand that they were trying to make her an independent strong woman but it got a little ridiculous. Her stubbornness and not accepting anything almost made me stop reading this series. It did get better as I read through it.

Can‘t get enough of this story, still no end in sight. It leaves on a cliff hanger with the 4th book out in dec. 2020. It has some unexpected twists and I love that this story is keeping me on my toes.

The second book the ember in the ashes.. it continues in the same fashion as the first book. I don‘t know where it‘s going and can‘t figure out the end game. There are so many people at play with all there own agendas.

I love that it has a lot of moving parts and told from different view points. The story line has multiple moving parts as well. It leaves you in suspense at every turn. You will fall in love with characters, root for them and want to murder them. Can‘t wait to read the rest of the series

Sexy and whimsical with a splash of Greek mythology mixed in. It‘s a fun short read. A next generation of the red by Tiffany Reisz. You don‘t have to read the first book to understand the story or characters.

This was a different genre than I normally read but I was in a book hole and gave it a try... I was not disappointed. It was a short read but it stuck with me even after I was done. If you love a family of wealth sweeping a little dirt under the rug, then you‘ll love this. Great for a book to take along on a trip or by the pool.

Shadows kiss was the first in this series, and it just keeps getting better and better with this series. I really enjoyed all of the books in this series. Each one brings something new to the table. It is definitely a roller coaster of emotions and surprises.

Loved the first book and it gets better... I enjoyed the relationship building between the main character and the man she is forced into marriage with. There is a few twists and without giving too much away, the character you want to throat punch seems to win but maybe not... can‘t wait for the third book to come out and see where it all ends. I definitely hope there are more juicy bits from the budding love story playing out.

A character spin off of the Companion. You will defiantly need to read The Companion first , which I also enjoyed, to really understand the characters. It was a sweet love story with a jilted girl who gave her all for a position she gets denied of, but a man with noble intentions saves the day. It has a range of emotions some leaving you angry, floored and laughing all at the same time. It did for me anyway.

Well this was the best book out of three, I feel like it had a little more depth and the ending was good. Overall the series is so-so but not going to turn it down. I‘m glad I read it.

The second book is definitely better than the first. It had some good twist and leaves you on a crazy cliff hanger. The third book is not yet out and I really can‘t wait to see what the third book brings very interested to see...

I enjoyed the story but I wasn‘t smitten with it. I felt like it was missing something, I can‘t really put my finger on it. I did continue to the next book though and have pre ordered the third book. I feel like it is a see for yourself kind of read, I‘m not running to tell everyone about it but I‘m not disliking it to where I stopped reading it.

I loved this novella the best out of all the remnant chronicle (kiss of deception, the heart of betrayal and beauty of darkness) it‘s story of magic and survival. I love books that pull stories from before and this is one of them. It finishes this series off very nicely. I would recommend reading the series first. You will appreciate the novella more but you could read it before the series as well.

Love this story, I‘m very anxious to see where it goes. It definitely kept me intrigued. It is a three book series and I have the other two on pre-order. If I would have known the other two were not out yet I might have waited because this ends on a juicy cliff hanger. I really don‘t want to wait to find out, but I must...

Well I was in a reading hole, it happened to be October and this beauty popped up in my recommendations. It was a great story, loved the characters, there were a few they could have elaborated more on but you pretty much figured it out. It was a little bit of everything protagonist, magic, love, and love of wine, who doesn‘t love wine. ( ha ha)

I feel like all the stories In the selfish myths are great. I love how they all intertwine. This one is my favorite, I love this particular story because it has so many emotional sides to it. It‘s a love story that felt like it couldn‘t be then could... but could it really?

This was a refreshing and enchanting read. I absolutely loved this story. It is a mix of Mulan and Aladdin with a bit of a twist. Although I have done this before and was really looking for a different read in fantasy and knew ahead of time ... this is the beginning of a series and ends on a cliff hanger... the next book is not due out until July 2020. I have pre ordered it though.

Well after reading the first book to this series pestilence, I was curious to see how the second book would be... I was not disappointed, I loved it maybe even a little more than the first book. Without giving anything away, It ties in with the first book but a different story with a similar but not ending. Can‘t wait for the third and fourth to come out.

Enjoyed the story line, I wish I would have gotten to know a little bit more about where they came from and the people who ruled them. They just seemed to pop in and out of the story which was a little confusing.

I think this was my favorite out of the three books. With the second book wrapping you up from past to present this book brings you into the present and possible future. It does leave you on a bit of a cliff hanger and I‘m not sure if or when there will be a fourth book to this series. Overall I loved the book and the series, I will be hoping and waiting for the 4th.

This is the second book of Shadows Kiss and it was equally good. I like how this author starts off the series with the present, with the second book leading into what happened previously. She pulled it together smoothly, you don‘t miss a beat and it never leaves you confused but explains everything in the appropriate due time.

Honestly I tried a sample of the book because the cover grabbed me. The story defiantly lives up to the beautiful cover. It has twist and turns, romance, comedy and keeps you wanting more. I feel like it has a slight beauty and the beast feel to it. now I just have to wait anxiously for the 4th book to come out.

Grace Draven never disappoints... this story grabbed me from the beginning. It can be a stand alone, however it is to be a series spinning off stories from other charters in this book. doesn‘t have as much of the romance that she is known for but the injustice that happens in the beginning hooks you creating a hope of vengeance I loved it and gave it 5 stars definitely a great read.

I love grace draven‘s writing. Ever since the master of the crows she has hooked me. I was excited to see this next short story of hers come out. Out of all her books, this was the first to leave me a little disappointed. The story line was great However, it was lacking in the love story department(which I love in her writing). It was missing some of the character building as well. This is not typical of her story writing.

I‘m not really sure because most of my books are on kindle and I don‘t really pay attention to the pages. 4. @jrbaker 5. I loved this story, tons of adventure great story line. However, I‘m super annoyed by the fact that it‘s a beginning with no end. It is suppose to be a series and ends on a cliff hanger. With no site of date for the next book to come I wouldn‘t read it. Nothing makes me more angry than when an author never finishes their series or at least lets their readers know when the next book is to be released.

I loved this book it has a little bit of everything. I love the wild and unruly spirit of the main character. The story is really interesting and keeps you hooked through out the book. The second book the girl in the tower is equally just as interesting. I‘m just waiting for the third one to come out...there‘s no info. I would still read them anyway.
