I love "desert island" stories even though I haven't read that many of them, and as a fellow New Zealander it was an added bonus to reading Tom Neale's island adventures.
I really enjoyed this even if it wasn't as "survivalist" as I'd hoped since he bought a lot of civilization with him.
Sometimes a little bogged down in minutiae it was also
the details of his island and survival knowledge that were so interesting. Thumbs up!
