4⭐️ This book starts out a little ahead. It skips the title page at first and runs right into the story. We should just be happy mom didn‘t run into the little dog in shoes, but it was close. Mimi takes the dog home, and after some trouble in the part realizes that she needs to help the little guy find his owner. A wonderful story about pet adoption.

The artwork is very Tim Burton-esk. Sweet little story about a lost dog and dog adoption. At the back, it details how specifically one goes about adopting a dog, which I really like!

Mini and her mother find a dog wearing shoes on the freeway. Mini would love to keep him, but first they must search for his possible owner. This was sweet, and I liked the few pops of color in the illustrations. This was definitely a book I'd share with my nephews.
