This is interesting. Lichtman (who wrote Predicting the Next President) has correctly predicted the election for 30 years. He uses a series of 10 true/false questions and if 6 of them are wrong, the incumbent party loses. This election is different since so many big-name Republicans are endorsing Clinton. But it's still interesting. Wonder if anyone knows what his questions are?

DGRachel Ugh. Isn't the election over, yet? Can't we just get back to having 75% of the country loudly complaining about the job the president is doing (regardless of who holds that office)? I've had to quit Facebook and I can't watch TV in real time (nothing like having a contentious governor race, too). 😔 8y
the_hibernator @DGRachel lol I almost didn't post this on Litsy because of the politics, but I decided it was a question about a book that people might have read. 8y
BookishFeminist Meh, I like Nate Silver's models better. He's been pretty good about predicting outcomes too & doesn't hide his logic and math, lol. 8y

the_hibernator @BookishFeminist Are you saying the book doesn't explain this stuff?! That's a cop-out. 8y
BookishFeminist @the_hibernator No...I'm not saying that at all? I'm confused because from your post it sounded to me like you were posting the article under an unrelated book on the subject & I was going based off the info you provided in the post. Didn't realize it was the author of this book your post is referring to! I need more coffee. 😳 Curious what his questions are too now (tho I think I'd still be more inclined to trust Nate Silver!) 8y
the_hibernator @BookishFeminist Ah. I edited the post to be more clear. 8y
andreadmw This scares me 😳 8y
geodynamical_nonfiction Super interesting. Something tells me though that even if Trump wins the popular vote, some sort of recount will happen and the electoral vote will go to Hillary. I see Trump as in cahoots with Hillary and neither get my vote. 8y
