Yet again my son Tain is right on the money with a book recommendation. This brought me to tears. It's the story of a 12-year-old girl, Rosie, and her friend, a boy named Bailey. They've been friends from babyhood, but they're getting older and new feelings Rosie doesn't understand are making things difficult. Her grandmother, while making soup with Rosie, and then pasta with both, gently guide the children through the rough patches. A sweet read.
When Tain says, "Mama, you've got to read this!" I do. His recommendations are rare and always on target. He brought this home for me yesterday. Already it's touching and I'm enjoying it. ?❤
Nothing makes a rainy day cozier than a book and a bowl of soup #middlegrade #mg
