Cabin Gulch
Cabin Gulch | Zane Grey
1 post
In a fit of anger, Joan Randle sent Jim Cleve into the untamed mining camps of Idaho Territory to prove his grit and spirit. Then she regretted their quarrel and set off after him to bring him back. But she crossed the path of Jack Kells, the notorious mining camp and stagecoach bandit, who captured her and intends to keep her as his woman. He was willing to kill two of his own men to have her all to himself, so how can Joan hope to escape? Her hopes will fade even more when Jim Cleve shows up--and joins Kells' gang.... When this classic novel of the West was originally published in 1915, under the title "The Border Legion," it was heavily censored by an editor who felt it was too graphic in its depiction of life in a frontier mining camp. Finally, using Zane Grey's original manuscript, this edition restores the missing or altered text and allows the reader to experience the novel the way the author intended.
