Maybe I just didn't "get it". I don't love short stories because they feel unfinished and that is how this short novel made me feel. It may be about loneliness, or not being able to connect. I spent most of the book thinking that the MC might be on the autism spectrum. But the book doesn't go into it at all. And the ending was such a let down. It's definitely a strange little book, it does have some clever moments. Don't regret reading it, but ⭐⭐

Finished this one over lunch today. What an interesting read. It leaves you with so many questions and so few answers. I really enjoyed the writing style though. I felt connected to Iris and engaged in the story.
