Ever look at your TBR pile, see a book and wonder how it got there? Or when it got there?!? As part of reading through my stacks, I‘ve decided I need to just grab and go trusting that past me made good decisions when adding books to the pile. So, tagged book here we go!

I‘ve had this arc sitting on my shelf for years and I finally took it down and started reading it. So good! What was I waiting for? Sometimes the book needs to find you at the right moment.

Pickpick

An Irish woman starts researching a scandal that took place after the Potato Famine. She returns to Ireland for the first time in many years and while researching the scandal, long buried memories of her life resurface. It is so hard to describe this book since there is so much in it: misogyny, England - Ireland; a woman coming to terms with aging, loneliness, her past, her heritage and her legacy. It is beautifully written. I loved it!

Libby1 You've convinced me with that great review! On Mount TBR it goes! 😃 7y

A library was the only place my mother was always confident. I remembered how she used to walk into the public library in Kilcrennan with that brisk, focused, self- forgetful air that other women have in clothes shops.
