The only book by James A Michener I have never read. Written about 1988, it tells about the new manager of a retirement/ nursing home in Florida. It is a fascinating read about aging, health, friendship and character. Michener could make any subject fascinating and this is no exception. This is information many of us will need as we age, told in an amusing story that follows a year in the lives of six characters. Being a Michener fan, I liked it.
And now for something completely different...My grandfather put me on to Michener back in the 80s. It's been a while since I read any of his books. This one has been sitting on my TBR shelf for a while. Any other Michener fans out there?
