pickPicked this gorgeous book up from a local charity shop for 75p! It's immaculate, probably never opened. It's a nice introduction to poetry and a joy to read together. It features some well known poems as well as some I'd never come across before. It is slightly more challenging than Julia Donaldson but it can't harm to expose children to poetry as early as possible.

I am behind on posts again, but I'm jumping back in for this one!
When I was younger I was really into poetry, it's not something I read much of now. When I was 11, my mum got me this poetry collection for Christmas. I still have it to this day, and it contains my favourite poem - Something Told the Wild Geese by Rachel Field.
Fun fact, my mum copied a poem I wrote that Christmas into the front of this book 💕
