Brilliantly written, unpleasant story but really kept me reading.

Whilst the language is cringily dated, the story is well written and interesting. I'm becoming a fan of Yates...

I think I‘ve only read two fiction books where the female protagonist was admitted to an asylum or mental illness home. So I googled to search for a male protagonist and found this book. Sounds good too.
It tells the “psychological breakdown and subsequent institutionalization of an alcoholic salesman.”

Everything Yates wrote is worth reading. Nothing however matches Revolutionary Road, in my opinion.
