I was listening to Taylor Bradshaw‘s music all afternoon yesterday. I listened to the CD I ordered from him, streamed the album and watched the concert film. The bonus track is a cover song called “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor” by Arctic Monkeys. Taylor Bradshaw is an independent folk musician from NYC. He doesn‘t have a record deal yet. I like all of his songs from the album but I think the cover song was my favorite.

Today I‘m listening to a new-to-me record from the Fever Dolls, an indie-rock group from Vermont. I was quite taken with the album cover - thought the #NancyDrewBR gang might enjoy it as well!

I just found out that Linkin Park is dropping a new music video on Friday on their YouTube channel. It looks like it‘s another song off of their new album coming out in November.

Mx. Justin Vivian Bond is one of the recipients of the 2024 MacArthur Fellowship (i.e. Genius Grant). I first became aware of Bond from the movie Shortbus. The song is slightly NSFW (suggestive lyrics). The movie is extremely NSFW, but beautiful.

Dusty's voice makes my heart melt 🫠💛🫠
1968's Dusty... Definitely has some wonderful Bacharach/David covers, alongside blue-eyed soul & orchestral pop tracks, & if it's an album secondary to Dusty in Memphis, it's still a slice of awesomeness.
Particularly apt tracks for today are the lush I Think It's Going To Rain Today ☔[it has been for nearly 24 hours!] &, as I'm reading some horror stories, the groovy Spooky 🎃
