The Little Minister | 
pickThe Little Minister was such a fun read. You do not come across an author who writes in dialect often, especially one who throws in native Scottish words to the English. Barrie made this novel feel authentic and exciting-- not something you would expect since it's about a minister. He also successfully made it romantic and nostalgic, an attractive quality that permeates generations.

JM Barrie rocking it way back in 1891. I find this book has a more progressive take on women than his novel Peter Pan, which came out later.

My view this fine morning! Enjoying The Little Minister but it is an adjustment after reading Peter Pan so many times. Barrie's style definitely differs between the novels.
