15 March 1939: German troops enter Prague and for Czechoslovakian Jews the terror begins. This is the incredible story of one survivor of the Holocaust.

Pickpick

An excellent memoir from a survivor of the concentration camps who later settled in Belfast.

Helen Lewis‘s love of dance helped to sustain and support her through the worst of trauma.

I thought the artwork on the cover was moving, as it evokes the horrors of the Holocaust as well as the time of slavery in ancient Egypt. (See the pyramids in the background.)

We must hear her “Time to Speak”. We must listen and #NeverForget .

Today, on #HolocaustMemorialDay , I decided to begin this memoir by concentration camp survivor Helen Lewis.

Helen grew up in what was then Czechoslovakia, where she studied philosophy and dance. After surviving the horrors of #Auschwitz she moved to Belfast, #NorthernIreland , and founded a dance group.

This is her story.

Here are some of my bookish Christmas gifts! A few more ordered from vouchers are on their way. Our nativity's wise man loves this selection.

My husband ordered The Book of Libby for me from a publisher that uses your photos and info to create a book. It is great fun!

I'm feeling so grateful for friends and family who really get me! ❤
