Mehso-so

Today‘s prompt is #oven and this is the first story that came to mind! It was one of my favorite stories growing up. So ran out to the library to see what versions they might have to offer. I loved the art work but the writing was pretty stilted. Over all it was okay, but I won‘t be ordering it to add to my personal library.

Pickpick

I will not lie. I bought this book for the cover. And the inside illustrations do not let down. It's a classic tale of Hensel and Gretel so there was no surprises. I also like that at the end of the story the author gives you a little history and how it is thought the brothers Grimm changed to spoken story when they wrote it down. Plus, for all you teachers the at discussing questions and activities to go along with the story.

LazyOwl Awesome illustrations 7y
LibrarianRyan @LazyOwl there is a whole series. Some have better illustrations than others but it's the "creepy" ones I like best. 7y
