Originality: 2/5. This is straight up a classic demonic possession story. And that‘s not a bad thing—we like archetypes for a reason—but she didn‘t really compensate for the tried-and-true story type with really interesting or really unsettling elements, she just stuck to the tried-and-true, which made it a bit lackluster.

Well-written, creepy, & suspenseful. This is good supernatural/occult horror! I couldn't put this down & I'm already itching to pick up the second book & start reading. I can see how it was probably inspired by The Exorcist - very similar themes & plot points elaborated from the classic. Accurate depiction of mental illness, especially DID. Some very sad & heartbreaking scenes in this book.

This is the first of a trilogy, and all three books are amazing!!!! They're very dark and just graphic enough to get your blood pumping, but not so much that you want to stop reading them. The other two books are called Tanners Dell and Magda, and the last one literally gave me nightmares! Perfect read for a dark and stormy night!
