This is my second Canadian non-fiction book by Charlotte Gray, and I found it solid. It‘s twenty years old and I‘m guessing her handling of the sisters‘ relationships with their indigenous neighbours would be different today. Anyway, I knew almost nothing about these two sisters prior to reading this, and I love learning about this period. This biography added more of the female perspective to my knowledge.
